~Who I am~

I started counselling in the summer of 2000, when I moved to Virginia and worked as a counsellor at a wilderness program for adolescents with emotional and behavioral issues. I then started working as a teacher at the school.  While working as a teacher, I received my Masters of Science in Special Education in 2006.

I moved back to the Saint John area in 2008 and started working for Anglophone School District- South.  I have worked as a resource teacher and classroom teacher in regular classrooms and at-risk programs.  During that time I completed my Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. In 2016, I joined the Child and Youth Team (ISD) as the Guidance Counsellor, working along side Mental Health Clinicians.

 

I worked part- time at Gentle Path Counselling from 2012-2020. During my time at Gentle Path I did one-on-one counselling, couples counselling and volunteered as a facilitator for Women of Worth program.  My focus was on relationships, work issues, anxiety, depression, grief, and self-esteem.

My areas of expertise are relationships (including couples), work issues, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, aging parents/ caregivers, and grief.

 

I am looking to work with adults,18 and older.
